This webquest will enable students
to study the characteristics of plants, the environment the plants need
to survive and maintaining the health of the plants. Through this
process, the students will learn how to research using the Internet.
They will also learn how to communicate through presentations using PowerPoint.Standards

- Students
will access, generate, process, and transfer information using appropriate
technologies

display, and communicate information in different forms using text,
tables, pictures, and sound

- Students will study the structure of the plants and the environment needed

information and understanding. As listeners and readers, students will collect
data, facts, and ideas; discover relationships, concepts, and generalizations;
and use knowledge generated from oral, written, and electronically produced
texts. As speakers and writers, they will use oral and written language
that follows the accepted conventions of the English language to acquire,
interpret, apply, and transmit information.
- Gather
and interpret information from children's reference books, magazines,
textbooks, electronic bulletin boards, audio and media presentations,
oral interviews, and from such forms as charts, graphs, maps, and diagrams
- Students will interpret information from the Internet using the Webquest.
