From the two previous lessons students now have a better understanding and the importance of pH levels of the soil. Objective Students will be able to accurately check the pH levels in the soil. Materials soil samples from YMF and pH kits Procedure Collect soil samples from YMF Follow the directions on the pH kit to check the soil samples Record your results on the data table Discussion questions 1. What is the importance of the pH level in the soil 2. Is the pH level in the soil acid , neutral or base? 3. Will you be able to grow plants and vegetables from the results of your pH test? 4.
