Reflection

Personal comments on the learning experience:

The vegetable garden project is a wonderful example of taking the learning out of the classroom into the real world. The cooperative grouping of students allows students of different levels to suceed. This lesson pulls from many curriculum areas and addresses a variety of standards. Students can further their knowledge by extending research to the ways that vegetables are raised in other countries, perhaps their country of origin. This lesson can be upgraded or downgraded according to individual student needs/abilities and is a great example of authentic learning.
